I would by lying if I said that I wasn’t at all nervous as I drove to photograph the “K” Family. In fact, I used all my charm and negotiating skills to drag Chad along with me to “assist”. (Read: keep me calm.) I’ll be honest. I was a bit hesitant when I was asked to stop by to ‘update pictures’
during this family’s special week-long gathering.
Seventeen is a lot of people. Seventeen people who I don’t know seems more like 34 people. (That’s introvert math.) Chad encouraged me to do it, though, and I’m so glad he did.
This family? The “K” Family? These are really good people. I mean, really, really, really good people. They are strong and courageous. They are welcoming and kind. They are giving and loving. They are fun and enthusiastic. They are friendly and open.
The “K” Family? They are the real deal.
K Family, thank you for letting me pop in for this quick shoot. It was a pleasure and honor. Thank you for being so flexible and inviting and for making this shoot nothing but fun and relaxing. I am so thankful that I had a chance to ‘meet’ you all.
