While in college I was blessed to have a phenomenal group of girlfriends. I’m not just saying that. These ladies were the most eclectic group of women I’ve ever had the pleasure to be around. On paper, our group didn’t make sense. There isn’t a matchmaker alive that would have pieced our group together. However, it just worked. And it worked beautifully.
We were, ‘the girls’.
Anna was one of ‘the girls’ and I was so excited when she invited me to capture her family with my camera.
You know how life happens. Time passes, speed increases, schedules are overbooked. I hate that. It has been several years since I have spent time with Anna. I was thankful when we reconnected this summer and she scheduled this shoot.
Since our college years, Anna married Tim.
Anna and Tim had babies.
One has red hair. The other blonde. These little guys are as sweet as they appear.
The five of us took a long walk through a beautiful and densely wooded forest. We walked and talked. They played and talked. My heart melted when I heard Tim and Anna’s 3-year old ask, “how was your day, Mama?”
Yep. Good people they are.
Kind. Gentle. Engaging. Interesting. Interested. Funny. Open.
Tim and Anna, thank you for a lovely evening. I appreciated your laid back way and your most delightful little guys. I absolutely loved watching your love.
It's 7:34 am in the morning… on a Monday… and I have tears in my eyes because I love these photos.
Oh, Anna.
This is the line that made me cry, "My heart melted when I heard Tim and Anna's 3-year old ask, "how was your day, Mama?"
AWESOME shots, my friend. Such awesome shots. Way to capture them.
Thank you, Kylee. You know it–your words, mean the world.
Summer I so want you to capture my family. The next time we are in Ohio, we have to set it up. Your work is beyond words.
Thank you for such kind words, my Friend.
I would LOVE to do that!!
