The “B” Family was the first family I ever “officially” photographed. By “official” I mean not family or close friends. I’m not even sure if I was even calling myself “SummerK” at the time. I remember talking about that session and telling people that I was going to photograph “acquaintances” from college. You know how that goes? I knew of them, but didn’t really know them.
Here we are, nearly two years later, and I was so happy to have the opportunity to have this family in front of my camera again. A lot of things have changed since that ‘first’ shoot. Of course, I had a few more lenses in my bag and certainly many more experiences under my belt. But that wasn’t the most remarkable change. This time when I traveled to meet up with this family, I wasn’t photographing acquaintances, I was photographing friends.
Yes, that first shoot nearly two years ago sparked a friendship between our families that I never could have imagined. I (our entire family) have grown to love the “B” Family and enjoy a unique and special bond with them. This family is easy to love. Very easy to love. They are honest and kind and spirited, and fun.
They are a lot of fun. (Fun deserved it’s own line.) We have so much fun with them.
Even more that that, though, this family is real and raw and genuine in the most refreshing way. They are what I call–The Real Deal. Andy and Whitney, thank you for letting me capture your wonderful family once again. Thank you for smiling, laughing, and for always, keepin’ it real.
Love them…and you…and your stunning work. Keep it up, friend!
Very good pictures.I have watched this beautiful family through this journey and now look at them..So blessed..
