Kobe. Senior Class, 2022.

I don’t tire photographing seniors. It is a joy and a pleasure to meet all these young people who, I know otherwise, I would never meet. What fun it is to meet so many different personalities, hear pieces of their stories, and come face to face with the future.

When I met up with Kobe he told me he hoped we could get our session done in ten minutes. This is not uncommon–especially for senior guys–as they typically arrive at urging of their mothers. I thought ten minutes might be pushing it, but hey, I like a challenge.

Kobe and I sprinted through various downtown spaces while I frantically clicked my shutter button. During the session I heard about his love for adventure and the outdoors. I learned about is work outside of school and his enthusiasm for baseball. When I clicked the final picture I looked down at my stopwatch: 9 minutes 48 seconds it read. Mission accomplished.

(Just kidding. That was a lie. But it didn’t take too long.)

Kobe, congratulations on your senior year. May this final year of high school be full of wonderful experiences and enough adventure to keep it fun.
