Chad & Maggie Got Married

It was a day that had been long awaited.  These two lovely people have been together since their high school days.  Love that has already endured so much, strengthened by their commitment to love each other forever.

Forever.

At the end of last month, on a chilly October day, Chad and Maggie made their already long commitment official when they stood before family and friends and declared that they would stand together for all of their tomorrows.  In a beautiful ceremony, surrounded by the most lovely ornate details at the Massillon Woman’s Club, the couple joined their lives together with a simple “I Will”. I am always struck by the moment when a father hands over his daughter.  Struck by the symbolism in it.  Struck by the bitter-sweetness of it.  As I watched Maggie’s dad place her hand in Chad’s, I saw the way two families grew.  I saw the open arms of Chad’s family and the receiving arms of Maggie’s family.  Just as two people become one in marriage, so do two families.

Chad and Maggie, thank you for allowing us to enter your world.  Thank you for allowing us to witness your love.  We wish you all the happiness in the world as you continue to live your beautiful lives together.
