Brooke. Senior Class, 2019

I’ve heard it said often, people will not remember exactly what you did, or what you said, but they will always remember how you made them feel. 

I can’t tell you exactly what it was about this high school senior. Maybe it was her compassion for others? Her committed faith? Her passion for her family? Her comfort in her own skin? Honestly, I can’t put a finger on it. What I do know, however, is that when I drove away from this session I felt joy. Joy that, no doubt, radiated from Brooke’s soul right onto me. I suspect I’m not the only one who has experienced this. The deep soul and joyful spirit that flows from her right out into the world. It is a gift of presence. A quiet strength. A security in who she is.

Brooke, you are very obviously a gift to those who love you and, no doubt, to anyone who crosses paths with you. As you stand on the verge of countless lasts that will preface of lifetime of firsts, I wish you all the best as you continue your journey. I have no doubt that the foundation that has already been laid will guide you as you navigate your future. Thank you for the honor to capture your senior portraits.
