of photography. I enjoy capturing the special moments between families, which are
most likely the expressions that you see most in one another every day. You
will find me talking to you and your family a lot, with special attention in
engaging your children in the moment. I gravitate towards the natural posing that families do, but may offer posing suggestions as needed, in order to benefit the final look of your portraits.
I enjoy photographing families in their space–where they are most comfortable. That may be in your home, your backyard, a favorite park, or a place that is special and unique to you. As a Mom of (sometimes) shy children I understand that children are often shy when meeting new people. For this reason, I will take my time to get to know your children first.
Many ask what they should wear to a session. First and foremost–be comfortable!
I highly suggest clothing for each family member that has
the same tone, not necessarily color. Please, and this is very important, be
wary of words, characters and logos on your family’s clothing. These things can be a
distraction from your beautiful family. Layers and accessories photograph well and hats can be an adorable addition! Oh, and bare feet are excellent.
I invite and encourage clients to bring special things to their session that will personalize their images. Favorite dresses, special blankets, a beloved princess crown are all welcomed additions to your sessions. My goal is to capture your authentic memories to preserve them for a lifetime.
Often people have specific ideas about the kind of shots they would like to have. Please don’t be shy! Let me know about the vision you have for your shoot and the must-have images you would like captured during your session. I will do everything I can to fulfill your requests.
I work hard to capture your family as authentically as possible and for that reason, a session with me will likely take longer than the normal portrait session. It is my goal that when you receive your images, your time will have been worth it.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you might have.
